Michael served as Director of Photography and Technical Advisor for conceptual artist Mary Ellen Carroll's 24 hour film FEDERAL, which involved filming both sides of the Federal Building in Los Angeles, located at 11000 Wilshire, for a full day. Housing the divisions of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the State Department, the FBI, and the CIA; documentation of the building turns these high-level government agencies from the watchers to the watched.
